Camp Day 2 – Always Watching…

Roz: Wazowski! You didn’t file your paperwork last night.
Mike: Oh, that darn paperwork! Wouldn’t it be easier if it all just blew away?
Roz: Don’t let it happen again.
Mike: Yes, well, I’ll try to be more careful next time.
Roz: I’m watching you, Wazowski. Always watching. Always.
Mike: Ooh, she’s nuts.

I love Monsters Inc. Fun movie laced with life truths.

One played out yesterday here at camp. Word got back to us that a cabin of 15 year old boys decided to bring to camp an aresenal of left over fireworks. My source? The Holy Spirit through a well placed source. He got word to us that an explosive prank was planned. So we sent the suspected knuckleheads on a cross camp assignment and went to work in their cabin to excavate the “goods”. Our source had perfect information. Stashed inside of the air vent were bags and bags of fireworks.

With the evidence in hand we went to find the boys. “Guys, we need your help. We know that someone on this campground has fireworks and we need your help in finding them.” They cracked. Confessed. Apologized. Said it was them. Told us that no one would ever find the stash. That’s when I showed them these:

“No way! How did you do that?  No one knew! That is so cool! We were scared and kinda glad its over”.

Roz was right. Someone is ALWAYS watching. Our sin will always find us out. Jesus promised that “I am with you always, until the end of the world” (Mt. 28:20).

The consequences? Check back tomorrow. This same cabin decided to play capture the flag at 3 am this morning and they don’t know that we watched them until they went to bed at 5 am…always watching.

Stay tuned…
