“Nothing can bring lasting happiness.”
As believers we have within us the cause of true joy. It remains until something disturbs it. Something like sin (selfishness, anger, lust, and the list goes on).
We must stop chasing all the things that we believe will bring us happiness.
When we feel angry, afraid, anxious, or depressed could it be that those are just helpful warning signs that we are looking in all the wrong places for true peace? Consider these markers as information – warning signs that somewhere we got off track.
As followers of Christ, the true joy is living within us. We must protect it.
